Is this offer only available to new subscribers or those whose renewal occurs this month? My subscription renews 2/2/2025 and there is no opportunity in my dashboard to renew at that time for the discounted price. I asked this question on the my account page chat and was told the offer is only for new subscribers. The answer definitely does not impact my intent to remain a paid subsciber. Just curious. Thanks.
Thanks for asking. Yes, that is how substack handles discounts. It is only for new subscribers. If someone’s subscription ends in November, they can then subscribe again with the discount. I also always offer group or gift discounts all year. Thanks for your support. I so appreciate everyone’s help to keep the lights on, and support the work I do, and the community we’ve gathered here.
I sincerely hope I have successfully upgraded to supporting subscriber. I certainly entered my new VISA (the old one is invalid). But did I actually subscribe as a paid supporter? I can’t tell, from what my screen showed me. Help!

Carrie I wish I could afford to renew as you have been so generous to me. However, this year has been such a challenge and changes are such that I obviously can't pay for a subscription.
Carrie can you add a blurb about where to go to subscribe or renew your subscription. It says you can’t do it in the app thanks! Sorry if it’s here and I missed it!
Hi Lynette, you can visit the my page directly on your computer at www.carrienewcomer.substack.com. You can click on this post and the links in the newsletter will take you to the subscription page. Unfortunately the Substack app doesn’t have a way of subscribing or ending subscriptions. It’s something I really hope they change soon. On my page there is also a “support” link in the top menu about changing your subscription or ending it. I hope that helps.
