I must say, when the first line of the post mentioned the DNC, I almost didn't read it. I'd say the most important message is that "it sometimes works". Not sure if the DNC is where it's working though.
You are absolutely right! It is reason to celebrate….. And yet- the train is getting back on the track where it belongs. It was never about how much money you have, who your friends are, what your gender is, what color your skin is, or where you were born. Let’s just all love each other and make the BEST person our leader! Might that work?
Thank you for this uplifting post. Yes it is time for Hope yes it is time for change and I thank God that we have a woman running for president who is strong and beautiful and kind and good. Please God may she win. I have so many encourages in my life and I try to be encouraging. Today something lovely happened across the sea in Ireland to my son and when I was running to the airport a few days ago, I had people help me as I fell so I think people are good and I’m hoping our nation can turn around to be the nation is supposed to be standing for freedom and brotherhood and happiness and love
Hallelujah Carrie. Thank you. My mom is a source of encouragement for me and she has been deeply moved also by the recent change in the political situation. I am too. Blessings
Hallelujah indeed! Tears shed last week in the realization that there really is a flock of kindred spirits still out there who remember how to be kind and hopeful and humane!
Hallelujahs are in order! But now the work begins. Too many people are disconnected from the process of democracy. They have been influenced, knowingly and not, by the haters. I gird myself for each day by wrapping (not rapping!) myself with positive messages, using your music, Carrie, to keep love flowing. Thank you for all you do!
Hallelujah it’s Sunday! God’s teaching me about experiencing real starvation for several weeks, not just fasting. Far better appreciate Sudan and Gaza. Thank God for science and hospitals and professionals feeding me by IV, even if looking like a POW. Great empathy prep for seminary and chaplaincy.
I was in first grade. “Tee Wee” Cameron was in third. Fifth grade bullies were chasing him. I told him to get under our porch where I had made my world.. It was wonderful to watch the convention stay in its forward vision and leave the bullies wondering where we went.

Hallelujah indeed and thank you Carrie for another great reflection.
A few years ago I wrote a song about just such a moment. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qCCzEXF1kuE
Yes and amen! May it be so

Oh Jack, I love this story….yes, wondering where we went.
Thank you
I found so much hope and joy in the democratic convention! Just a breath of fresh air! Such a sense of community and caring for all!!! Go Blue!!
I so resonate with this hopeful message Carrie. It is truly a breath of fresh air to be immersed in a hopeful, joyful spirit in our country.
