So fragile this pink

A bog orchid found today

On knees, holy stare

Birthday candle’s tiniest smoke vanishes into the Canadian summer breeze

In Secret puff, unspoken keeps

a new born fawn that blinks the unseen

lifetimes of clear yonder green

Done and done Carrie!! I’m following you and pre saved your new album!! I’m so excited for its release. I’m also excited for the single release on my birthday!! What an amazing gift for me!! I’m looking so forward to seeing the pre release concert in Bloomington!! My road trip is all planned lol!

This year it’s hard to really enjoy nature and all it’s beauty here in Ontario Canada when you are surrounded by all the affects from the forest fires. . I’m sure you’ve gotten a bit of it too. I long for the bright sunshine again.

I came up with 2 poems, they were so much fun to write!

raindrops are resting

atop a long blade of grass,

Round and shiny like a lollipop!

Large grey smoke filled clouds,

Like over roasted marshmallows

From faraway forest fires.

Thank you soooo much Tracey for pre-saving and following on a streaming service! It really does help a bunch. I loved your poem…perfect length. But gosh, the smoke from the fires must be so hard to experience. We are experiencing it here so far away.

Hi Jackie, appreciate it for streaming services. There’s no charge at all. It’s totally free. There’s a link right below the video for preserving. It will take you right there. I explain it in the video as well. Thanks so much for trying.

Hi Jackie. Here is the link, again…this is NOT to purchase. If you want to purchase a CD preordering will begin Sept 1, 2023. But you can pre-order the album to stream it again..for free…on a streaming service like Spotify, Apple Music or Amazon music to download right into your account library on Oct 13th. But you have to have an account on a streaming service. If you don’t stream music, then go to Spotify and get a free account (they have paid accounts and free accounts). Then go to this url address to pre-order the streamed version https://orcd.co/agwmalbum

Love this post. I raise monarch butterflies so I am always in the yard looking at them and the milkweed and the caterpillars but I have never written a haiku so here goes. I have a lovely picture that goes with this but I couldn't figure out how to add it. Here is my haiku and thank you for inspiring me to write it.

The green chrysalis

hard, protects, hangs very still

comes the butterfly

Thank you Robin! That is something I hope that Substack adds. In the “notes” function I think folks can add a photo. But I can see this so clearly from your beautiful hiaku. Which is the beauty of a lovely poem like this…i opens the heart and the awakens the eyes of the soul. Thanks for giving the poem a try…I so love this one.

At my feeder, not a care
