I just finished listening to this. It is so love-ly. Thank you to you and Jack for inviting me to your table of conversation. I take this gift of love for granted.
Thank you so much for introducing me to Jack Ridl. What a delightful soul! Your conversation was lovely and inspired MY soul. Carrie, you are a great blessing in my life!
On Jack Ridl: I loved a lot of lines, especially "Assume it's in the kitchen" and especially I resonated with "But you can love each other...that's him." In my Beloved's eulogy I described all we learned together ending with the beautiful acceptance we found in our last years when I could finally laugh and say (to all his peccadillos!) "you gotta lov 'im!" And as I smiled tenderly all the frustrations melted away. Thank you both and Blessings
There is such beauty and humor and tenderness in what can happen in the course of long time loving relationships. With our partners, with our dear friends, with mentors and others that become such treasures in our lives. Thank you Betty for your post…it warmed my heart. and I love the work “peccadillos” :-)
The morning I brought my husband to physical therapy. He broke his kneecap in January. There was another woman there whose husband had his shoulder replaced after years of pain. We shared about the challenges of caring for someone who is ...luckily...temporarily in need of physical assistance and can't do the things they usually do to help out around the house. And we both knew that the tables would be turned one day...
For me right now...I'm glad that I can be the one that he "takes it for granted" that I'll be there to help.
I’ll be holding your partner in the light for healing of his kneedcap. Yes…caring for one another is part of what we do in long time loving relationships. Thanks Miriam
Artists Carrie’s, Jack’s

Like the sound of that!
