Hi everyone, I’m currently on a bike trip in Scotland with my husband. We’ve been enjoying some down time in the beautiful city of Edinburgh and cycling in the Highlands in the Cairngorms Mountains. It has been lifting my heart in so many ways.
So this is a post i’m revisiting a post from 2023 but I’ve some added current commentary. With so much happening in our political world, it’s hard to not make every post about outrage and warning and calls to individual and community action. You all know where I stand and I will continue to speak up. . But I also think its important that we also tend to our own gardens, keep our hearts and spirits centered as much as possible, do the things that keep us connected to our own inner light and teach, connected to one another, and nurturing a sense of curiosity, shoring up our courage, expanding our creativity and preserving and holding dear our ability to be compassionate.
So today is about self care in these troubled times…
