One Bright Bead To The Next - Unrecorded demo "Sunset"
"Sunset" by Carrie Newcomer & John McCutcheon
“There are so many days here, none like any other. And beneath all their differences is this great similarity: the gratitude in which they are received.” Rainer Marie Rilke From Early Journals
Now in the first days of October the sunlight has become more golden . The last of the purple asters are in full autumn bloom. We can barely sense the last lingering remnants of August. The stars are shifting their movement from their summer pattern to their winter pathway. The glorious song of the woodthrush is absent and the hummingbirds have gone, making their impossible trek south. And yet, with all the sense of seasonal ending, the harvest basket is full.
No day is the same, each shift of light is a miracle in the making. Breathe it in. Beloved, we do not live days, we live moments - and this one is abundant and beautiful and all yours.
And yet, although each day, each moment is singular, they are not disconnected one to another. Gratitude is the thread that strings one bright bead to the next, creating a looping necklace of graciousness we wear all our lives.
