New Year Experiments In Possibility - Playlists (Mine & Yours)
A Message Of Gratitude & A Small Change To My Substack Posting Schedule.
The clean edge of a new year is often a time to reflect, consider, remember, let go of all that is passing and envision what we will embrace with all our hearts. I don’t really like the idea of resolutions. I guess New Year’s resolutions have always felt a bit like a set up, an invitation to fall short of some kind of larger than human size goal. In the past years I’ve thought less about resolutions and more about my growing edge, my best intentions or even my next experiment in possibility. So I ask myself…and pose these same questions to you to use as a writing or reflection prompt.
Where have I been in the past months, what did I learn or see differently now?
What do I want to release that has weighed upon my heart?
What do I want to lean into and embrace more intentionally?
What do I love and how do I make more room for what is life-giving?
End of The Year Inspirational Playlists - Mine & Yours
Hey folks, I put together a Spotify Playlist of songs that always inspire me or make me feel better. I did add a few of my own songs that folks have let me know have been good for their hearts…and because recording these particular songs were such inspiring and beautiful experiences.
I’m inviting you to create (and share) a playlist of your own comprised of 10 songs that inspire you, help you look forward, build hope and courage, make you want to dance or nod your head in affirmation.
In the comment section put a link to your playlist and share with the community! I’ll soooo look forward to hearing the kinds of songs that inspire you!
Here’s the link for the playlist AND a comment button below to add your playlist!

FIRST, thank you to everyone who has joined and helped me create this thoughtful community. I’ve been incredibly touched to get your feedback about how this community and our ongoing conversations here at The Gathering of Spirits have landed well and safely in your hearts.
My deep appreciation to those who have followed these postings, those who have commented so thoughtfully and respectfully of others, those who have not yet felt it was time to comment but have held the conversation with interest and care. Thank you for sharing these posts with friends whom you feel would appreciate the message and The Gathering of Spirits community.
Changes - I will be traveling and touring quite a bit in the next months, and so I will be changing my free weekly Sunday posts to a bi-monthly offering.
I’ll be continuing to post every Wednesday for my supporting subscribers —which will include my monthly Song Labs, serial readings and interactive postings.
I’ll be focusing a bit more on my upcoming concerts & retreats as well as digging deeper into writing a new collection of songs and poetry. I’ll look forward to sharing a few demos with you all as these new songs and poems develop!
I’ll also be trying out a few new things in the upcoming year on this page and hope to get your feedback and suggestions.
Again, it is YOU that make this Substack community possible! I deeply appreciate each and every person. Thank you for your encouragement, your stories and open hearted participation.
I couldn’t help it....I added a few more songs to my playlist :-). Including one from my husband, Roberts, band the Dorkestra....yup, that’s right I fell in love with a dork :-) and of course an instrumental from my long time collaborator, Gary Walters. His song Marmalade Sky always makes my heart lift.
thank you so much for sharing your list and for your continued music and messages of hope., I am also grateful for the lists others have created., many of the songs were on my original list but I took them off so I could share more music that perhaps others have not listened to. .
