“In times of stress, the best thing we can do for each other is to listen with our ears and our hearts and to be assured that our questions are just as important as our answers.” Fred Rogers

“Between stimulus and response there is a space. In that space is our power to choose our response. In our response lies our growth and our freedom.” -Victor Frankl

On the edge of so much uncertainty how important it is to be asking good questions. I’ve been following the news this week and tapping into community. I’m continuing to wake up each morning and ask again, “what is mine to do” and “who will go with me?

I’m also checking in with my body and asking, “Am I holding my breath or remembering to breathe”?

I am checking in with my heart and spirit and gently asking, “How am I doing with the spiritual, alchemical, transformative process of turning righteous anger into hopeful and redemptive loving action” and if I am struggling, asking even more gently, “oh honey, I know this is hard, keep practicing.”

How do I learn, as Terry Tempest Williams describes, to live in a house “I share with the twin sisters of grief and love.”
